We’re excited to share Hoop’s new Zapier integration!
We know you’re using lots of different tools to manage work. Hoop automatically captures tasks using tools using AI, and there may be times when you want to push tasks from Hoop to other apps. This is where Zapier comes in: to connect Hoop to your other tools.
There are limitless different workflows you can build with this new integration including:
- Sending tasks from meetings into Asana or Notion for multi-team collaboration
- Creating an issue in Linear from a task auto-captured by Hoop, making sure your team knows about a bug or a piece of user-feedback.
We’re excited to see all the ways you’ll use this handy integration. Zapier connects to over 10,000 other applications which means there are almost infinite workflows to customize. Here’s Justin explaining how it works:
✅ How to get started
All you need is an account with Hoop and Zapier and you’re ready to go. First, login to Zapier and create a Zap. You’ll need to search for “Hoop” as the trigger app. This is what it currently looks like:
⚡Setting up your Zap
Once you’ve selected Hoop as the trigger, there are two events you can choose from. The first is “New Task.” This occurs each time a task is auto captured for you by Hoop. The second option is “Task Moved” which gets triggered when you move a task to another group.
⏭️Set up your action
Once you’ve selected a trigger event, you’ll need to set up a destination for your tasks. Optional: You may want to add a filter for a more targeted workflow. For example, I could set up Zapier to send all new incoming tasks into Linear, or I could set it up so only tasks that I move into a specific “Linear” group in Hoop get sent over.

In the above workflow, when a task gets moved into a “Send to Linear” group in Hoop, a corresponding issue in Linear will automatically be created. In the workflow below, tasks captured by Hoop get sent to Reflect and are automatically included in the Daily Note for the day the task is due.
