Better together: How teams are using Hoop to work smarter

Hoop is better when used on a team. Here's how.

Many teams use Hoop to stay in the loop not only with individual tasks, but also with each other. Hoop is simply better (and more powerful) when used with others. Here’s how:

A shared view of tasks

Here’s a common post-meeting question: “Wait, who was supposed to do what?” Not with Hoop! When Hoop attends a meeting with multiple people, it will assign tasks to Hoop users. Tasks for folks that don’t have a Hoop account go to “Unassigned.”

For example, we have a weekly team meeting where we go over big picture strategy. With Hoop there, I can check afterwards to see who’s assigned which tasks. Not only that, but the shared view means I know that team members can see which tasks are in my to-do list, and which tasks are in theirs, so there’s no confusion on next steps, and everyone knows who’s responsible for what.

This shared view is in the “Events” tab in the top right. From there I can click into the meeting and see everything in one spot: tasks, summary, and topics.

See transcript, summaries and tasks for all meetings in your "Events" tab

💪🏾 Pro tip: If you hover over “Topics,” you’ll see a one sentence summary of the topic that was discussed.

Go on, delegate that task

Hoop makes delegating tasks super easy. Simply go into the task detail view by clicking on a task, and then use the dropdown menu of other Hoop users on your team to reassign tasks. Once the task has been reassigned, it’ll disappear from your task list and appear in your coworker’s “Incoming” list. You can still get back to the task if you need to by going back to the meeting page in Hoop.

One bot, many users

Regardless of how you may feel about bots, with Hoop, there is only ever one meeting bot per team capturing tasks for multiple people. If there’s one Hoop user, there’s one bot. If there are 100 Hoopsters present, there’s one bot.

There will never be more than one bot in a meeting, no matter how many Hoop users are present.

Email follow-up

Hoop automatically sends a post-meeting email with a summary of what happened, a link to the transcript, and a synopsis of the issues discussed. There’s also a list of tasks and most importantly- who they are assigned to. Everyone at the meeting that uses Hoop gets the same email, ensuring folks are on the same page about next steps. You can also share this email with others by forwarding it.
